I see no point in giving out personal details. Just know that I'm usually known as sal. msleah is my alter ego.

I believe if you don't already know who I am, you wouldn't be here in the first place.

Top 12 Part IV

I'm exhausted. But here's another update.
(I feel like this week pass by so quickly.. But then again, maybe its just me)

The next two who made it to the Top 12 are. .
Matilda and Emily.

Well, I'm surprised that Emily made it. I was guessing it would be Meryl, since in my opinion she made the best performance last night. I think Emily made it because of her looks? I don't know. Anyway, she's(Meryl) in the wildcard, so that should be alright, I guess.

One thing I'm unsatisfied with; I don't understand why Flo have to make that comment "Just to let you know, Sylvester was also from the wildcard" ?! or something like that? I mean er, so what? Taufik was in the wildcard too and newsflash he was the Singapore Idol. I mean, yes, we all know Flo loveeeed Sylvester and is a big fan of his, but still.. Whatever. I don't even know why I'm getting riled up about this.

After reading Eragon, and searching for Eldest all over the place last weekend, I ended up having Furuba as my reading material this week. 18 volumes in 3 days. Man, if I keep reading books this fast, I'm never going to have enough to keep me occupied. I'm digging into my Library book at the moment, so hopefully I'll take at least a week to finish the book this time.

Anyway about Furuba, I initially thought it was a typical shoujo -girls'- manga (I mean, come on, with a title like Fruits Basket? You can't blame me), but then it actually has plot and some twisted turns here and there, so its no wonder its like the top 10 manga around. I'm glad I read it when its almost complete.

Now, struggling to finish my FYP and hopefully we can get it done as soon as possible! I'm waaaayy too exhausted for this. The body is tired, the mind is tired, and the soul is tired. Goodness. Good luck to the rest out there.

Haven't been having a good connection for a few days now, and so I am hardly online anymore. Miraculously, I actually have a stable connection when I'm blogging. I wonder why.

This is for all of us who have friends. Or who don't. Whichever.

Top 12 Part III

As usual, I'm here to report who makes it to the next round.
This week it would be

and

I don't know, its very predictable, these kind of things. After seeing the performances, it was already 'decided' that Hady would make it to the next round. As for the reason why us sisters chose Joakim instead of Jay was because his performance was the most entertaining that night. But truthfully? Jay's singing was better. So let's hope he makes it in the wildcard.

Before we end this week's SI section, here's something.
Tell us one thing about you that people are always surprised to learn about.
I'm Korean.

Surprised I definitely am. Guess who the contestant is?

So. I finally found Eragon! Which was totally unexpected, but I'm glad I finally get to read the book. Or more like the book found me, just like how Saphira found Eragon (or the other way round, depends on your perspective). Corny? Yeah, I know.

I finished the book in two whole days. And believe me, the book was thick. I think an average of 500pages. From what I can say, the book is "similar" to JR Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, only a little less complex; for which I'm utterly greatful for (seeing that I couldn't bear reading LOTR until the end). But as for style of writing, I still prefer JK Rowling's. Anyway, I am now in search of Eldest, the sequel. I mean, I finished Eragon in two days, and I had to continue. Unfortunately, the only way I can read the book is to i. reserve from the library or ii. purchase it. I don't mind purchasing the book, as it can still be found at Popular, but I'll think about it. Especially when I just found out that they're releasing the Deluxe Edition soon. Dilemmas dilemmas.

Yes, after typing this post, I think I better get to bed. Even though its 1PM. I'm down with the flu. So much for my strong immune system. I was stuck with the 'watery' runny nose (which was extremely irritating, that much I can tell you) which developed into a full force phlegm overnight. And yes, the scratchy and itchy throat comes with the package. Not to forget the headache.

I want some chicken porridge! Especially the one back at my secondary school. Ohhowimissthatstall!!! *sniffle*

*CoughCough*

So yes, I better get back to bed, with a good book.

(Anyone has ELDEST by CHRISTOPHER PAOLINI? Please be generous and let me know..)

And enjoy the weekend, everyone.

Top 12 Part II

Alright, if you have not already know, Rahimah and Jasmine make it to the next round. I'm guessing Gayle would be in as wildcard. I mean she has a lot of fans, I almost wavered from my guess, but in the end Jasmine's performance was just better, if not the best, for that night.

The girls were totally off this time around. Almost everyone of them made a wrong choice of songs, or they're not able to bring out the full potential of the song, save for the last 3 (Rahimah, Jasmine, Gayle Nerva). It was either boring, not getting it, over the top etc etc. Even before we heard the judges' comments, we were already giving our own comments.

Anyway, leaving the SI topic aside, finally met up with Eileen the other week. And had a great time, watching a movie, and went for our cheesecake, just like old times. Heard alot of stories from her, about the guys are finally growing up. Finally! Save for one person.

I'm so proud, I'm like a proud granny.

So yes. Looking forward to the weekend, going to try and have a girl's sleepover at our aunt's place.. As usual. Although right now, the sisters are watching the FIFA. It was 3-1 to Germany last I checked. (Heard it was a great FIFA opening in 30 years..)

Well, I'd just like to say..

Happy birthday ShiHo-chan! a.k.a Indah.

you manage to go through life (or torturous life) in school, and only a few months to go before you can get out of there. Hang in there, and Good luck for the O's!

On another topic, I totally dig my new winamp skin. As usual, I can really never get tired of Ouran.

Oh and before we go, please do take a look at this. I'm wondering what's happening here. I thought it was already good enough as it is? Apparently not.

The future MRT line.. it is really confusing, that's for sure

Top 12 Part I

So who made it? Well it's quite obvious from their performance last night. The sisters already made a guess, and, lo and behold, it was the same as the judges' choice. As well as Singapore's choice too, as the results fare.

Anyway just to make things clear, I'm not really a big fan of any of these contestants. Since they are.. contestants after all.

Your first 2 to make it to the Top 12..

Jonathan Leong
Jonathan Leong can sing. For real. And he's such a Mr-Nice-Guy, really modest and he can SING. What else is there to say about this guy? Even Dick says he's going to be in the Top 5.

Paul TwoHill

He stand out. He got a decent enough vocal. He's funny. And is just so himself. That's what makes him score people's vote. Although I've already been hearing/seeing things like he's hot and cute.. and so forth (to think that he has already been given a FC; people work fast!)
Most girls will (already had) swoon over this guy, but he don't even know by how much. Personally, he reminds me of someone. I can't put a finger to it. But he can sing, and he's unique and he has personality. There you go. (And he's only 17...)

Anyway, let's get off the SI topic for a while. I am looking for the Eragon book. I stopped by Popular just now and only saw Eldest, which was the second installment of the trilogy. I think I might get it at Kinokuya, and I think I might just have to sign up for membership soon. I love books. And I still haven't bought Ouran 6 and 7, I need to go somewhere where they actually have these stocks up. Causeway only has volumes 3,4,5. Ah, need to make a trip to Northpoint, maybe? And what is it with Comics Connection? There's no English volumes up for sale over at that place, is there?

And I need to really get my project completed, done and finish. Get this thing done and over with, once and for all..
